Mapping our way through a pandemic
Velle had the honor of working alongside a medical clinic and its dedicated staff during the first stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. The clinic was experiencing chronic gaps, disconnected processes and a need to roll out change quickly.
In this case, the use of journey mapping and process mapping was a game changer in not only communicating changes to process quickly but continuously. As the government of Alberta rolled out new protocols and regulations daily, the clinic was able to work with Velle to make instant changes and ensure all staff members knew the patient touchpoints that needed to be fulfilled.
The greatest accomplishment was the ability to keep patients, staff and visitors to the clinic safe as well as seeing a team’s processes thrive through a critical point in time.
